Fallen London is a game dedicated to secrets. It's about a world where London was bought by a mysterious bazaar that may or may not have nefarious intentions. You begin as, in most games, someone in prison. You need to break out and begin your life in the game and discover the secrets the city hides from you. What's your ambition? Do you want to play a deadly card game to get your hearts desire? Do you want to hunt deadly game? Are you here for revenge?
Well, that's for you to decide.
Fallen London is a great game. It's funny, intriguing, and at times terrifying. I can't go into much detail about it because the fun of it is learning everything for yourself. There are people with the faces of squids, devils to befriend, and a cat with a lot of rhymes about it. They've all got a lot of secrets and they're all great. It's a game where people come back from the dead and you can lose your soul and then go to work anyway.
So why did we combine it with Pern? Because Pern's setting is great for crossovers. No one really knows where the Bazaar is from. The closest we get for an explanation is that it came from 'Between the stars.' Yeah. Besides, who doesn't want to play detective with the help of a dragon? Don't lie.
You don't need to play the game to get into this rp. I would suggest you give it a try, just because the game is great, but the truth is that the secrets you find in the game aren't going to be the same secrets Igen has. Igen is a new fallen city in a new world, and the Bazaar is ready to start fresh and to bring up some new monsters to play with.
By combining Fallen London and Pern, however, we also got some elements that make rp easier. Characters can come back from the dead, just not too many times or they lose some of their good looks. Secrets are a good currency and make the tried and true weyrstore far more fun. We also have a really good explanation for our new colors now.
So, welcome to a Fallen Igen. I hope you enjoy discovering its secrets.
